POLL ALERT: Presidential Race All Tied Up

by

via Breitbart, “All even in the homestretch.”

WASHINGTON (AP) – The presidential race tightened after the final debate, with John McCain gaining among whites and people earning less than $50,000, according to an Associated Press-GfK poll that shows McCain and Barack Obama essentially running even among likely voters in the election homestretch.

The poll, which found Obama at 44 percent and McCain at 43 percent, supports what some Republicans and Democrats privately have said in recent days: that the race narrowed after the third debate as GOP-leaning voters drifted home to their party and McCain’s “Joe the plumber” analogy struck a chord.

Granted, this conflicts with other polls showing Obama with a comfortable margin.  But only one poll can be right…so here’s a possible scenario: Democrats get complacent with their “lead,” and we go late into the night on Election Day.

Here’s another poll that shows it close. Just out today at only 2 points.

It’s bi-partisan so it doesn’t have the same media influence:

They must be polling the lower income and lower educated areas because the polls shouldn’t even be that close. There seems to be a type that tends to be leaning McCain in some of the most recent data that are lower income and lower educated. These people need to educate themselves on the record of the candidates. They must seriously consider not putting Sarah Palin a heartbeat away from the presidency. We have too many problems in this country to risk her possibly being in the White House. We don’t need “Saturday Night Live” Sarah, and an irratic old man in the White House. We need strong and clear headed leadership. Go Obama!

  3. Marc Says:

    Hey Mike..
Clear headed leadership!! OMG! You think Obama has a clear head?? The guy is a socialist to the core, a used car salesman at best (A good one). The Democratic party of old was a worthy opponent, today it’s been high jacked by nut balls and it’s sad to see that nearly half the country has been sucked in to thinking that a socialist USA would be better. I thought I would be dead and buried when that happened, but now I see that in my final years I will see the change that Obama and his cohorts want… SOCIALISM. Well, I guess Hugo Chaves will be happy.

The McCain-Palin Ticket is heading to a slim victory. Why? The silent voters. There are many peolple who are going to vote for this ticket but are silent about their choice.

  5. Linda Says:

    Mike:
Nice of you to judge people based on their income. That’s what’s sad and wrong with America today. The measure of a man should not be based on his materialistic possessions. That’s why America is so far in debt, trying to keep up with the Jones’, that’s why divorce is so rampant, #1 reason, financial stress… I can guarantee you that the many African Americans out there voting for Obama do not make more than 50k a year. The amount of money you make has no bearing on your moral values… you’re either moral or imoral… Money tends to make you more immoral if you want to know the truth. That’s what’s wrong with politics today… whoever bank rolls you, that’s who controls you. That’s why we are where we are today in this cluster *&&(*… Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, and the lilst could go on forever… Both Dems and Repubs… We should be on our knees every day praying for our country!!!

Third and final presidential debate between Senator John McCain and Senator Barack Obama .

    First question on tax cuts:
Barack Obama: “Let’s help families right away by providing them a tax cut — a middle-class tax cut for people making less than $200,000, (Clearly stated and documented in the Official Transcripts.)
What happened to Obama’s original proposed tax cut for earnings of $250,000 or less.
A mere $50.000, nothing to worry about.
Barack is saying what we want to hear. Eloquent speeches wooing the frightened flock.

Barack promises to bring the troops home in 16 months.
Obama’s foreign policy adviser, Samantha Power tells the national press “Obama has No hard and fast policy about withdrawing from Iraq”. She later resigned.
Clinton agreed with Power’s saying, “This is the latest example of Obama promising the American people one thing on the campaign trail and telling people in other countries another.”
This sounds eerily similar to a statement made on national Television by long time friend and mentor Jeremiah Wright, “Barack says what he has to say as a politician.”
Barack Obama ahead in the polls when it comes to Eloquence and wooing, ahead in the polls for saying what he has to say, what the people so desperately want to hear.
Not bad for a two year Senator, not bad at all.

  7. Lemastre Says:

Ah, the “silent voters” are now the hope for McCain. That’s code for racists who won’t admit that they are but who the Repubs hope will vote for the white guy regardless of the last eight years of Repub mismanagement. Of course, it’s not kosher for the Repubs to admit they’re counting on that.

Don’t let what happened to Joe happen to you.
Joe the plumber persecuted for speaking the truth.
Vote NO to Socialism, Vote Yes for Democracy.
    Vote Mccain/Pallin

  9. Joseph Sixpac Says:

Pauline, when you warn us not to allow what happened to “Joe the plumber” to happen to us, I assume you mean allow our names to be waved about by John McCain in campaign speeches. I agree that McCain should have cleared it with Joe first. I also think Sarah Palin should have cleared it with me before using my name.
